Crystal Williams a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Georgia. Crystal graduated from the University of Illinois of Chicago with a bachelor’s degree of Psychology and master’s degree of Social Work. While attending the Jane Adams school of social work; she completed her practicum in the Chicago Public School System.
Crystal began her career in 1993 as a case manager working with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She became a school social worker in 1998 in the greater Chicagoland area. Crystal transitioned from Illinois to working as a school social worker in Dekalb County Schools in 2015.
Crystal also worked in the community as a therapist, assessor, and member of an ACT (Assertive Community Treatment) team; community based mental health care for individuals experiencing serious mental illness.
Crystal Williams holds certifications as a school social worker, school administrator, and special education director. Crystal has been certified as a behavior coach through the positive behavior intervention supports program. Ms. Williams is currently ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
Crystal Williams obtained her Clinical Social Work and Educator licenses in both Georgia and Illinois. Ms. Williams has a rich background working with both children and adults in both private and public organizations. Throughout her career her primary goal has been to help children and families achieve whole, happy, and successful lives.
Her therapeutic approach is person centered utilizing Cognitive Behavioral therapy. She works in partnership with her clients gaining insight directly from them working to achieve goals they have identified. The goal is to empower, educate, and equip her clients to master any challenge they face.
